VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The City of Virginia Beach has extended authorizing food trucks to operate with certain restrictions.

To help supplement food supply during the public health emergency, the city has authorized food trucks to operate with certain restrictions until July 6.

Food trucks can operate on commercial properties. Additionally, food trucks may also go into residential areas to deliver pre-ordered food.

Food trucks must be parked on private, non-residential zoned properties, with permission from owner, in a legal parking space. This allows for the public to park and practice social distancing.

Food trucks may not service walk-up customers, or park in the street because potential obstructions in the road may conflict with residential streets.
