Coronavirus case numbers up by 852 in Virginia, 30 additional deaths reported

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving coronavirus cases within the state.

According to their website, there are now 15,180 confirmed coronavirus cases, 666 probable cases and 552 coronavirus related deaths. The confirmed case numbers are up by 852 since Wednesday and deaths are up by 30.

A total of 90,843 people in Virginia have now been tested.

The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Thursday, there are 1,550 people currently being hospitalized for coronavirus. There are 583 people currently receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are pending. 967 confirmed positive patients, and those whose test results are pending, are currently hospitalized in the ICU.

208 hospital patients, both confirmed for coronavirus, and those with test results pending, are currently on a ventilator. 613 ventilators are being used in hospitals out of the 2,974 in the state - that's 21% usage.

2,104 patients who have been hospitalized for coronavirus have been discharged.
