3,688 new COVID-19 cases reported in N.C. since Thursday; Two local areas see COVID-19 related deaths

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Friday there are now 311,772 PCR positive cases and 17,074 antigen positive cases, totaling 328,846 total positive cases.

1,571 people are being hospitalized for COVID-19 and there have been 4,979 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 3,688 new total cases and 43 additional deaths from Tuesday.

A total of 4,819,029 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
