Hospitalizations in North Carolina reach new high as state reports 6,952 COVID-19 cases, 80 deaths

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Wednesday, there are now 530,830 PCR positive cases and 51,518 antigen positive cases, 3,893 people hospitalized and 7,076 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 6,952 new total cases and 80 additional deaths from Tuesday.

Local areas reported 82 cases and five deaths, with Pasquotank County seeing the area's largest increase of 21 new cases.

A total of 7,191,700 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
