N.C. COVID-19 cases increase by 1,608 since Thursday as number of tests given in a day significantly increases

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Friday, there are now 209,397 cases, 921 people hospitalized and 3,608 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 1,608 new cases, -18 hospitalizations and 29 additional deaths from Thursday.

A total of 3,094,417 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
