N.C. Gov. Cooper gives COVID-19 updates as state reaches grim milestone of over 800K total cases, 10K total deaths

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Tuesday, there are now 802,065 PCR positive cases and 93,900 antigen positive cases, 2,374 people hospitalized and 10,046 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 2,786 new total cases and 55 additional deaths from Monday.

A total of 9,344,437 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.

As of February 8, North Carolina has vaccinated 1,390,947 people, with 1,250,584 people now fully vaccinated by NC providers and 140,363 people in federal long-term care programs fully vaccinated.

Gov. Cooper is set to provide updates on the state's COVID-19 response at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
