N.C. reports 4,479 new COVID-19 cases as hospitalizations continue to increase; Pasquotank County sees highest local case increase

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Monday, there are now 446,795 PCR positive cases and 36,852 antigen positive cases, 2,817 people hospitalized and 6,240 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 4,479 new total cases and 16 additional deaths from Sunday.

78 cases were reported locally, with Pasquotank County seeing the highest local case increase at 17 cases. Zero deaths were reported locally.

A total of 6,419,622 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
