N.C. sees 3,978 new COVID-19 cases since Monday as statewide percent of positive COVID-19 tests jumps to 13%

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Tuesday, there are now 652,993 PCR positive cases and 74,430 antigen positive cases, 3,368 people hospitalized and 8,776 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 3,978 new total cases and 56 additional deaths from Monday.

A total of 8,533,507 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
