The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving coronavirus cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 73,527 total cases, 70,669 of which are confirmed and 2,858 are probable. There are 1,992 total coronavirus related deaths, with 1,882 being confirmed and 110 being probable.
The case numbers are up by 1,084 and deaths are up by 15 since Tuesday.
Virginia Beach reports 144 new cases from Tuesday and Norfolk reported 136 new coronavirus cases.
The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Wednesday, there are 699 people currently being hospitalized for coronavirus. There are 382 people currently receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are pending. 246 confirmed positive patients, and those whose test results are pending, are currently hospitalized in the ICU.
113 hospital patients, both confirmed for coronavirus, and those with test results pending, are currently on a ventilator. 664 ventilators are being used in hospitals out of the 3,055 in the state - that's 22% usage.
9,527 patients who have been hospitalized for coronavirus have been discharged. That is 100 more patients discharged from the hospital since Tuesday.

- Norfolk 1,742 cases, 133 hospitalized, 18 deaths (+136 cases, +1 hospitalization, +2 deaths from Tuesday)
- James City County 388 cases, 59 hospitalized, 16 deaths (+10 cases, +1 hospitalization from Tuesday)
- Newport News 900 cases, 51 hospitalized, 10 deaths (+44, +2 hospitalizations cases from Tuesday)
- Poquoson 23 cases, 2 hospitalized, 0 deaths (+0 cases from Tuesday)
