North Carolina coronavirus hospitalizations trending up as state reports 1k new cases

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.

As of Wednesday, there are now 46,855 cases, 846 people currently hospitalized and 1,168 coronavirus related deaths.

That is 1,002 new cases, 14 additional deaths and 17 more people hospitalized from Tuesday's total.

A total of 667,422 people in North Carolina have now been tested.

Just last week, North Carolina saw a 5 day streak of 1,000 additional daily coronavirus cases.

Looking at this week, there were 983 additional cases reported on Monday and Tuesday saw 751 cases. When looking at testing, 16,001 additional tests were counted for in Wednesday's total. There were 12,942 new tests counted in Tuesday's total.

From Sunday to Wednesday, there have been 4,179 new confirmed cases.
