North Carolina COVID-19 case count surpasses 142k as state sees 1,346 new cases, 26 deaths from Thursday

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Friday, there are now 142,170 cases, 1,049 people hospitalized and 2,313 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 1,346 new cases, 26 additional deaths and 21 less hospitalizations from Thursday. Our local viewing area in North Carolina saw 28 new cases and zero deaths reported from Thursday.

A total of 1,877,402 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
