The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Wednesday, there are now 216,943 cases, 1,028 people hospitalized and 3,693 COVID-19 related deaths.
That is 1,466 new cases, 15 additional hospitalizations and 23 additional deaths from Tuesday.
A total of 3,229,247 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
