North Carolina COVID-19 cases increase by 5,556 in a day; Pasquotank Co. sees highest local case increase

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Thursday, there are now 388,106 PCR positive cases and 27,977 antigen positive cases, 2,444 people hospitalized and 5,714 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 5,556 new total cases and 53 additional deaths from Wednesday.

A total of 5,778,458 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
