The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Sunday, there are now 166,127 cases, 917 people hospitalized and 2,692 COVID-19 related deaths.
That is 1,051 new cases, 48 fewer hospitalizations and 9 additional deaths from Saturday.
A total of 2,243,273 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
