North Carolina reports 1,137 new COVID-19 cases, 38 deaths in 24 hours; Local areas report 13 cases, 4 deaths

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Wednesday, there are now 188,024 cases, 918 people hospitalized and 3,149 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 1,137 new cases, 2 additional hospitalizations and 38 additional deaths from Tuesday.

Our local viewing area saw 13 new cases and 4 deaths. Pasquotank County reported 3 deaths, with a death also reported in Hertford County.

A total of 2,683,384 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
