North Carolina reports 1,403 cases, 53 additional deaths with rise in hospitalizations; Local viewing areas report 4 new deaths

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Tuesday, there are now 240,297 cases, 1,203 people hospitalized and 3,992 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 1,403 new cases, 61 additional hospitalizations and 53 additional deaths from Monday.

15 new cases were reported in local areas, with Dare County reporting the highest local case increase at 4. Four new deaths were reported locally for Tuesday.

A total of 3,663,340 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
