The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Sunday, there are now 224,727 cases, 1,046 people hospitalized and 3,770 COVID-19 related deaths.
That is 1,638 new cases, 12 more hospitalizations and 5 additional deaths from Saturday.
A total of 3,381,506 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
