The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Sunday, there are now 250,332 cases, 1,148 people hospitalized and 4,157 COVID-19 related deaths.
That is 1,712 new cases, 34 fewer hospitalizations and 13 additional deaths from Saturday.
Local areas reported 36 new cases and no new deaths, with Chowan County reporting the area's highest case increase of 18 new cases.
A total of 3,834,686 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
