The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Saturday, there are now 153,641 cases, 996 people hospitalized and 2,521 COVID-19 related deaths. Our viewing area saw 66 new cases and 1 new death, with Pasquotank County reporting the highest daily increase at 21 cases and 1 death.
The state reported 1,729 new cases, 19 fewer hospitalizations and 27 additional deaths from Friday.
A total of 2,052,118 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
