North Carolina reports 1,994 new COVID-19 cases after 3-day streak of case increases over 2K

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Sunday, there are now 265,171 PCR positive cases and 11,521 antigen positive cases, 1,122 people hospitalized and 4,383 total COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 1,994 new PCR, 53 new antigen cases and 5 additional deaths from Saturday.

Local areas reported 24 new cases and no new deaths, with Hertford County and Dare County tied for the area's highest increase of 5 cases.

A total of 4,083,844 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
