The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Saturday, there are now 248,620 cases, 1,182 people hospitalized and 4,144 COVID-19 related deaths.
That is 2,274 new cases, 1 additional hospitalizations and 30 additional deaths from Friday.
Local areas reported 36 new cases and no new deaths, with Pasquotank County reporting the area's highest case increase of 12 new cases.
A total of 3,799,405 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
