North Carolina reports 2,370 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours; Local areas report 32 new cases, 6 deaths

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Friday, there are now 233,372 cases, 1,148 people hospitalized and 3,864 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 2,370 new cases, 8 more hospitalizations and 33 additional deaths from Thursday.

32 cases were reported in local areas, with Bertie County reporting the highest increase of 8 cases. 6 deaths were reported locally, with Chowan County reporting 5 and Northampton County reporting 1.

A total of 3,531,840 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
