North Carolina reports 2,498 new COVID-19 cases; State's test percent positivity falls to 6.6%

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Thursday, there are now 273,173 PCR positive cases and 12,488 antigen positive cases, 1,193 people hospitalized and 4,548 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 2,498 new PCR cases, 361 new antigen cases and 41 additional deaths from Wednesday.

A total of 4,214,454 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
