North Carolina reports 2,617 new COVID-19 cases, marking second consecutive day of record increases

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Friday, there are now 275,790 PCR positive cases and 12,779 antigen positive cases, 1,161 people hospitalized and 4,582 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 2,617 new PCR cases, 291 new antigen cases and 34 additional deaths from Thursday.

A total of 4,264,597 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
