North Carolina reports 2,898 new COVID-19 cases, 100 new hospitalizations in a day

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Sunday, there are now 475,269 PCR positive cases and 41,559 antigen positive cases, 3,123 people hospitalized and 6,549 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 2,898 new total cases and 23 additional deaths from Saturday.

50 cases were reported locally, with Pasquotank County seeing the highest local case increase at 18 cases.

A total of 6,737,864 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
