North Carolina reports 4,899 new COVID-19 cases; Pasquotank Co. reports highest local case increase

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Sunday, there are now 676,973 PCR positive cases and 80,553 antigen positive cases, 2,782 people hospitalized and 9,335 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 4,899 new total cases and 48 additional deaths from Saturday.

Hospitalizations in North Carolina also dipped Sunday as there were 101 fewer hospitalizations reported.

A total of 8,863,068 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
