North Carolina reports 6,164 new COVID-19 cases following Friday's record case increase

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Friday, there are now 436,625 PCR positive cases and 35,643 antigen positive cases, 2,846 people hospitalized and 6,184 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 6,164 new total cases and 59 additional deaths from Friday.

79 cases were reported locally, with Hertford and Pasquotank Counties tied for the highest increase at 15 cases each.

A total of 6,307,246 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
