The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Sunday, there are now 516,657 PCR positive cases and 48,267 antigen positive cases, 3,576 people hospitalized and 6,910 COVID-19 related deaths.
That is 6,487 new total cases and 18 additional deaths from Saturday.
Local areas reported 152 cases and no deaths, with Dare County seeing the area's largest increase with 39 new cases.
A total of 7,084,394 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
