North Carolina reports 716 new COVID-19 cases, 12 more deaths; Local viewing area reports zero deaths

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Tuesday, there are now 178,635 cases, 827 people hospitalized and 2,909 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 716 new cases, 62 additional hospitalization and 12 more deaths from Sunday.

Our local viewing area saw 11 new cases and zero deaths from Monday. Bertie County reports the highest case increase with 3 new COVID-19 cases.

A total of 2,469,977 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
