The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.
As of Tuesday, there are now 54,453 cases, 915 people hospitalized and 1,251 coronavirus related deaths.
That is 848 new cases and 28 additional deaths from Monday. The state is also reporting 45 additional hospitalizations.
A total of 773,828 people in North Carolina have now been tested. That is an additional 16,483 tests submitted from Monday.
