The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.
As of Wednesday, there are now 38,171 cases, 780 people hospitalized and 1,053 coronavirus related deaths.
That is 1,011 new cases and 24 additional deaths from Tuesday. A total of 553,650 people in North Carolina have now been tested.
The state is reporting 17,939 new tests and 6 additional hospitalizations from Tuesday.
