North Carolina reports highest one-day COVID-19 case increase of 3,119 cases as state remains in Phase 3

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Wednesday, there are now 286,524 PCR positive cases and 14,037 antigen positive cases, 1,246 people hospitalized and 4,698 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 2,629 new PCR cases, 490 new antigen cases and 38 additional deaths from Tuesday.

Wednesday's total increase of 3,119 cases marks the highest one-day increase of cases in the state.

A total of 4,446,251 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
