The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.
As of Tuesday, there are now 89,484 cases, 1,109 people hospitalized and 1,552 coronavirus related deaths.
From Monday, there have been 1,956 new cases, 42 additional deaths, and 69 hospitalizations, a record high for hospitalizations.
A total of 1,254,846 total coronavirus tests have been completed in North Carolina.
