North Carolina reports over 3,000 COVID-19 cases for 5th day in a row; Local areas report 77 cases, 1 death

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Saturday there are now 314,615 PCR positive cases and 17,646 antigen positive cases, totaling 332,261 total positive cases.

1,590 people are being hospitalized for COVID-19 and there have been 5,005 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 3,415 new total cases and 26 additional deaths from Friday.

A total of 4,860,430 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
