North Carolina reports over 5K new COVID-19 cases, 57 additional deaths from Thursday

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Friday, there are now 358,467 PCR positive cases and 24,067 antigen positive cases, 2,157 people hospitalized and 5,467 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 5,303 new total cases and 57 additional deaths from Thursday.

A total of 5,461,220 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.

North Carolina's statewide percent of positive COVID-19 tests jumped to 11.2% on Friday, up from 10.1%.
