North Carolina reports over 5K new COVID-19 cases statewide as local viewing areas see 115 new cases

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Monday, there are now 521,426 PCR positive cases and 48,685 antigen positive cases, 3,635 people hospitalized and 6,941 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 5,187 new total cases and 31 additional deaths from Sunday.

Local areas reported 115 cases and no deaths, with Pasquotank County and Dare County seeing the area's largest increase with 21 new cases.

A total of 7,119,201 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
