North Carolina reports record COVID-19 case increase of 5,637 cases in 24 hours

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Thursday, there are now 353,966 PCR positive cases and 23,265 antigen positive cases, 2,101 people hospitalized and 5,410 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 5,637 new total cases and 44 additional deaths from Wednesday, marking a record case increase for the state.

A total of 5,409,434 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.

North Carolina's statewide percent of positive COVID-19 tests dropped to 10.1% on Thursday down from 11.4% after riseing every day for the last six days.
