North Carolina reports rise of 1,846 COVID-19 cases, 34 deaths; Pasquotank County reports highest local case increase

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Wednesday, there are now 255,693 cases, 1,193 people hospitalized and 4,245 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 1,846 new cases, 21 fewer hospitalizations and 34 additional deaths from Tuesday.

Local areas reported 23 new cases and no new deaths, with Pasquotank County reporting the area's highest case increase of 10 new cases.

A total of 3,912,599 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
