North Carolina sees 1,127 new COVID-19 cases, 40 additional deaths from Tuesday

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.

As of Wednesday, there are now 129,288 cases, 1,167 people hospitalized and 2,050 coronavirus related deaths.

That is 1,127 new cases and 40 additional deaths from Tuesday.

9 new cases were confirmed in Northeastern North Carolina.

A total of 1,873,668 total coronavirus tests have been completed in North Carolina.

  • Bertie County 254 cases, 5 deaths (+0 cases from Tuesday)
  • Camden County 64 cases, 2 deaths (+1 case from Tuesday)
  • Chowan County 145 cases, 1 death (+0 cases from Tuesday)
  • Currituck County 71 cases, 0 deaths (+0 cases, -2 deaths from Tuesday)
  • Dare County 203 cases, 2 deaths (+1 case from Tuesday)
  • Gates County 46 cases, 2 deaths (+1 case from Tuesday)
  • Hertford County 310 cases, 11 deaths (+3 cases from Tuesday)
  • Northampton County 282 cases, 16 deaths (+2 cases from Tuesday)
  • Pasquotank County 360 cases, 17 deaths (+0 cases from Tuesday)
