North Carolina sees 1,605 new COVID-19 cases; Local viewing areas report 14 cases, zero additional deaths

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Monday, there are now 251,937 cases, 1,193 people hospitalized and 4,170 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 1,605 new cases, 45 additional hospitalizations and 13 additional deaths from Sunday.

Local areas reported 14 new cases and no new deaths, with Dare County reporting the area's highest case increase of 4 new cases.

A total of 3,863,108 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
