North Carolina sees 3,888 new COVID-19 cases in a day as state hits record hospitalization levels

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Monday, there are now 478,714 PCR positive cases and 42,002 antigen positive cases, 3,192 people hospitalized and 6,561 COVID-19 related deaths.

The hospitalizations reported on Monday show record levels for the state.

The numbers Monday showed 3,888 new total cases and 12 additional deaths from Sunday.

A total of 6,774,026 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
