Percent of positive COVID-19 cases continues to decline in North Carolina as state reports 845 new cases since Sunday

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Monday, there are now 185,781 cases, 895 people hospitalized and 3,060 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 845 new cases, 64 additional hospitalizations and eight additional deaths from Sunday.

A total of 2,634,819 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.

The percent of positive COVID-19 tests in the state has been on a decline for five days. On September 9 it was at 6.3% and Sunday it was 4.8%.
