Virginia coronavirus cases rise by 534 in a day, 30 additional deaths

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving coronavirus cases within the state.

According to their website, there are now 14,328 confirmed coronavirus cases, 633 probable cases, 2,259 people hospitalized and 522 coronavirus related deaths. The case numbers are up by 534 since Tuesday and deaths are up by 30.

A total of 85,307 people in Virginia have now been tested.

The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Wednesday, there are 946 people currently being hospitalized for coronavirus. There are 620 people currently receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are pending. 387 confirmed positive patients, and those whose test results are pending, are currently hospitalized in the ICU.

222 hospital patients, both confirmed for coronavirus, and those with test results pending, are currently on a ventilator. 589 ventilators are being used in hospitals out of the 2,997 in the state - that's 20% usage.

2,042 patients who have been hospitalized for coronavirus have been discharged.
