Virginia coronavirus cases rise by 758 in a day, 34 more deaths reported

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving coronavirus cases within the state.

According to their website, there are now 13,794 confirmed coronavirus cases, 545 probable cases, 2,165 people hospitalized and 492 coronavirus related deaths. The case numbers are up by 758 since Monday and deaths are up by 34.

A total of 82,753 people in Virginia have now been tested.

The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Tuesday, there are 948 people currently being hospitalized for coronavirus. There are 560 people currently receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are pending. 376 confirmed positive patients, and those whose test results are pending, are currently hospitalized in the ICU.

217 hospital patients, both confirmed for coronavirus, and those with test results pending, are currently on a ventilator. 596 ventilators are being used in hospitals out of the 2,988 in the state - that's 20% usage.

1,914 patients who have been hospitalized for coronavirus have been discharged.
