Virginia reports 25 additional coronavirus deaths, 529 cases since Monday

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving coronavirus cases within the state.

According to their website, there are now 58,994 total cases, 56,452 of which are confirmed and 2,542 are probable.

There are 1,645 total coronavirus related deaths, with 1,542 being confirmed and 103 being probable. The case numbers are up by 529, and deaths are up by 25 since Monday.

The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Tuesday, there are 556 people currently being hospitalized for coronavirus. There are 291 people currently receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are pending. 245 confirmed positive patients, and those whose test results are pending, are currently hospitalized in the ICU.

126 hospital patients, both confirmed for coronavirus, and those with test results pending, are currently on a ventilator. 634 ventilators are being used in hospitals out of the 2,995 in the state - that's 21% usage.

7,725 patients who have been hospitalized for coronavirus have been discharged.

  • Chesapeake 774 cases, 109 hospitalized, 16 deaths (+15 cases from Monday)
  • Accomack 1,033 cases, 69 hospitalized, 14 deaths (+2 cases from Monday)
  • Northampton 271 cases, 39 hospitalized, 28 deaths (+0 cases from Monday)
  • Hampton 271 cases, 38 hospitalized, 5 deaths (+0 cases from Monday)
  • Norfolk 747 cases, 92 hospitalized, 7 deaths (+1 cases from Monday)
  • James City County 245 cases, 57 hospitalized, 15 deaths (+0 cases from Monday)
  • Newport News 452 cases, 44 hospitalized, 10 deaths (+5 cases from Monday)
  • Poquoson 16 cases, 2 hospitalized, 0 deaths (+0 cases from Monday)
  • Williamsburg 54 cases, 11 hospitalized, 5 deaths (+0 cases from Monday)
  • York County 106 cases, 10 hospitalized, 3 deaths (+5 cases from Monday)
  • Portsmouth 421 cases, 66 hospitalized, 13 deaths (+2 cases from Monday)
  • Gloucester 42 cases, 9 hospitalized, 1 deaths (+0 cases from Monday)
  • Virginia Beach 1020 cases, 116 hospitalized, 27 deaths (+14 cases from Monday)
  • Franklin City 46 cases, 3 hospitalized, 2 deaths (+1 cases from Monday)
