The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving coronavirus cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 95,867 total cases, 92,244 of which are confirmed and 3,623 are probable. There are 2,299 total coronavirus related deaths, with 2,191 being confirmed and 108 being probable. The case numbers are up by 818, and deaths are up by 25 since Wednesday.
A total of 1,191,304 PCR tests have now been given in Virginia.
The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Thursday, there are 875 people currently being hospitalized for coronavirus. Combined, there are a total of 1,349 being hospitalized for coronavirus related illness. That's 45 more hospitalizations from Wednesday.
The total statewide COVID-19 hospitalizations that have been reported over time is now at 8,183.
There are 474 people currently receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are pending. 284 confirmed positive patients, and those whose test results are pending, are currently hospitalized in the ICU.
157 hospital patients, both confirmed for coronavirus, and those with test results pending, are currently on a ventilator. 630 ventilators are being used in hospitals out of the 3,076 in the state - that's 20% usage.
12,635 patients who have been hospitalized for coronavirus have been discharged.
There were a total of 155 new COVID-19 cases in Hampton Roads and surrounding areas since Wednesday.
