The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving coronavirus cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 72,443 total cases, 69,610 of which are confirmed and 2,833 are probable. There are 1,977 total coronavirus related deaths, with 1,870 being confirmed and 107 being probable.
The case numbers are up by 801, and deaths are up by 9 since Monday.
The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Tuesday, there are 707 people currently being hospitalized for coronavirus. There are 420 people currently receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are pending. 249 confirmed positive patients, and those whose test results are pending, are currently hospitalized in the ICU.
112 hospital patients, both confirmed for coronavirus, and those with test results pending, are currently on a ventilator. 641 ventilators are being used in hospitals out of the 3,018 in the state - that's 21% usage.
9,423 patients who have been hospitalized for coronavirus have been discharged.

- Newport News 856 cases, 49 hospitalized, 10 deaths (+41 cases from Monday)
- Poquoson 23 cases, 2 hospitalized, 0 deaths (+1 cases from Monday)
- Williamsburg 85 cases, 12 hospitalized, 6 deaths (+3 cases from Monday)
