SUFFOLK, Va. - The Suffolk Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a man seen on video in connection to an abduction and robbery of a couple on October 1.

According to police, the incident happened in the 4400 block of Kendal Way at approximately 7 p.m.

A suspect approached the victims in their driveway after they returned home from dinner. The suspect then held the victims at gunpoint in their vehicle, forcing them to drive to an ATM to withdraw money, and then to additional locations in Portsmouth.

The suspect exited the vehicle approximately 35 minutes later. The couple was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white male standing approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with a skinny build, wearing baggy clothing, a baseball cap and a dark mask covering his lower half of the face.

Police said the suspect initially drove a vehicle, which was later found to have been stolen during a home invasion robbery in Portsmouth, to the Kendal Way location, where he then encountered the couple.

On Thursday, police released surveillance footage from a Portsmouth location which shows the man who is believed to have been involved in another incident that occurred in Portsmouth earlier on the day of the Suffolk event.
