GLOUCESTER Co., Va. - Firefighters responded to a business fire in Gloucester County on Wednesday morning.
The Gloucester Volunteer Fire & Rescue reported that the fire started around 2:30 a.m., on the third floor of an unoccupied two story residence, which is attached to Andrews Funeral Home. A passerby saw the fire and reported it.
The fire originated on the third floor and spread downward to the second floor. The fire department was able to contain the fire to the second floor.
There were no injuries reported. There was extensive structural and water damage. However, the Funeral Home is expected to remain operational.
The exact cause of the fire is thought to be accidental or possibly electrical.
