VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach is investigating a serious crash that left one driver dead Sunday evening.
Police say the serious crash in the 5300 block of Kimball Circle to Lake Shore Drive has closed the east and west bound lanes of Shore Drive.
Police say around 7:41 p.m., a serious crash occurred in the 5300 block of Shore Dr.
According to police, a silver Chrysler minivan traveling in the eastbound lanes had crossed the center median and struck a white Mitsubishi SUV traveling in the westbound lanes.
The three occupants of the Mitsubishi were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the minivan was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries, according to police.
East and west bound lanes from Kimball Circle to Lake Shore Drive are currently closed.
This crash remains under investigation.
